Submission Wrestling Rules
Matt and clothes
- Fighter may use tights, shorts (and T-shirt) No Kimono ore GI is allowed
- 6 x 6 metres tatame. Mat escape, same position as the fighter were in when they crossed the mat line
- Any armbar, shoulder lock, wrist lock, choke, leg lock or ankle lock.
- No neckcrank, full Nelson, crucifix and no heelhooks
- No striking, kicking or slaming
- No eye gouging or fish hooking, thumbing, biting, scratching or pinching
- No grabbing the clothes, fingers, toes, ears or hair pulling
- No touching groin area and no hands, knees or elbows on face
- No using the hand to close the wind pipe
- No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing
- Attention! Points throughout the whole match
- Mount position = 2 points
- Back mount with hooks = 3 points
- Passing the guard = 3 points
- Knee on stomach = 2 points
- Reversals = 2 Points
- Clean Take down (Ends passed the guard)= 4 points
- Take down (Ends Guard,Half Guard or the apponent gets to turtle right after the takedown)= 2 points
- Each position must be established for 3 seconds or more in order for points to be awarded.
- When a fighter voluntarily jumps in the guard or goes from standing position to a non-standing position by any means and remains down for 3 seconds or more, he will be punished by a minus point.
- When a fighter disengages from contact and starts backing up and avoids to engage again he will be punished by minus point.
- A passive fighter will be warned twice and then will be punished by minus point. The refree will warn the passive player by the words: WARNING PASSIVITY
- If one competitor gives up or submits by tapping the leg, arm or verbally
- If Referee feels one competitor is unable to defend himself or feels his life is in danger, the Referee will declare the winner
- If a fighter breaks the rules twice he will be disqualified by the Referee

- The referee’s decision/judging can’t be overruled!
- 5 minutes in ordinary fights (first 2.30 min without points).
- 8 minutes in the finales (first 4 min without points).
- One extra 4 minutes round are added if fights are even (only in the finales), The fighter who gets the first point wins.
